NA.ŠA SHIRT

NA.ŠA SHIRT project has emerged from the typical elements I like to use in my design, which create my authentic expression as an author (www.natasasaric.com).The project has provided me with an opportunity to transform a classical fashion item into a piece of art. It has also introduced a new and different quality, utterly wearable and functional.

My shirt as a clothing item is treated as a sculpture, with lots of sculpture-like forms and details. The details co-relate well to the shirt as a whole, and the whole co-relates well to the details.  NA.ŠA SHIRT line is produced is small series. Materials are chosen very studiously and carefully. They are mostly natural fabrics which are combined with some high-tech materials that give my design another dimension. On this project I have also pushed the limits of the design rules for such an traditional item as a shirt. Depending on the structure of each shirt, different elements are playfully interconnected, so that my shirts are more up-to-date, unconventional, artful and confident pieces of clothing.

NA.ŠA SHIRT has a connection with my entire fashion opus, showcasing my love for the arts and the exploration of craftsmanship. It is a fusion of my imagination and skills resulting with a different take on a very universal form of clothing.
